There are 50 million migratory water birds of more than 200 kinds in East Asia. They flew over 5000 kilo grams from breeding area to wintering area, making it one of the largest migration routes in the world. Professor Cao Lei of bird monitoring network of Chinese Academy of Sciences, worked together with world scientists via satellite tracking, and drew a road map of migratory water birds in East Asia to explore how human and birds coexist in the process of economic development.

With new filming techniques, the camera crew shows China’s leading achievements in Asia of biodiversity research and protection from a brand new perspective. For the first time it tracks from more than 20 kinds of birds’ fate and reveals the mystery of life and death.
